Meet Mato
Mato Mrkalj, mag. oec., is the founder of Marsonis d.o.o., with over 16 years of experience in the agricultural and food sector. Throughout his career, he has developed a deep understanding of agribusiness, business planning, and digital solutions for modern agriculture and food industry.
Mato is an enthusiast for business development and connecting technology with the agrifood industry. He has participated in founding and managing several companies related to food and agriculture, and in recent years has developed a specialized agency for distribution of hardware and software solutions that promote digitalization of agriculture and food sector in Europe.
His experience includes:
- Development of start-ups and business models in the agrifood sector
- Introduction of digital technologies in production, logistics and sales processes
- Business expansion to new markets and development of international partnerships
- Connecting sustainable development and profitable growth through innovation
Throughout years of work, Mato has collaborated with numerous international companies and organizations, including international organizations such as GiZ (Germany), Swiss Contact (Switzerland) and the World Bank, where he contributed to the development of projects aimed at modernization and digital transformation of agriculture.
He has also participated in projects and strategic documents in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, counties and municipalities in the field of rural development and digital transition of the sector.
